A massive balloon festival at the lake provided a sweet chance for parents to wake up at the crack of dawn and take their kids to see all sorts of random hot air contraptions lift off. Even a great big Darth Vader head and a pirate child in a cider barrel.

Kids were going crazy watching the balloons, that is why I like these ones best.
